Trusses on, Dried in and ready for Snow, Almost.

It has been a month since my last posting and in that time the project has moved forward tremendously. Once the Trusses arrived they went up smoothly, the gables were attached plywood nailed on and paper laid ready for shingles. All of the cedar siding has been stained, the windows and doors have been installed. These next few weeks should be busy finishing things up before the snow flies. Enjoy the photos!

Joel and Dennis Agree POUR Tuesday

With Dennis orchestrating the day to day affairs of the Sharkeyville Project the agreement has been made for a Tuesday pour( I will not be in town, promoting Cabot Cheddar in Philly with my amazing wife Sara). Staging is set bracing and straightening has been completed, re bar is in the walls, heck I have already applied the first coat of durabond to protect the ICFs between grade and the siding, wicked simple process. We are having visitors to the site on Monday and once again encourage anyone interested to come out and visit our Green Building LEED AMVIC ICF project in Vermont.

Waiting on the Trusses

Dennis and I have been setting bucks and blocks and the trusses are on order, two weeks out. I have been on the road down south, talking to builders and homeowners with the intention of getting the word out about AMVIC ICFs. Here is a photo from early last week that shows the Bucks in place and the blocks moving upward. Once again we are open to visits and look forward to getting this project dried in and on the market.
