Sharkeyville ICF Project is Underway

Here we go! The first in a series of six homes that we know will open the minds of developers and home buyers to what the housing market has been looking for. Rather then another cookie cutter ranch or colonial we are taking a different approach. A home geared toward saving energy, that does not compromise needed farm land, is located close to community centers and is a modest attractive home that a family can be proud of. Along with an assurance that they are lowering there carbon footprint.

This blog will be a running text and photos of what we are focusing on during the week. Be it the complete AMVIC Insulated Concrete Form(ICF) building envelope, the active solar heating component or our focus on a fully recycled job site. The project is in its second week of construction enjoy the photos and we will continue to keep the posts fresh and educational. We know that we will inspire you to realize that options exist to make Vermont a more sustainable in the global community.
